Erotica to order: Thinking of sending your significant other a custom-written erotic short story? You might find the perfect X-rated bon mot at Custom Erotica Source.

Offering a selection of 15 different writers who pen erotica to order, prices start at $25 for a 200-word quickie and go to $450 for a 20-page book. Erotic illustrations are also available for an additional fee.

Sage Vivant, the nom de plume of the creator of CES, had no publishing credits prior to starting the site in 1998. "CES is my way of circumventing the publishing industry and finding an audience for my work without losing much time or money," she said.

Since then she has had several stories published on the Internet and in forthcoming anthologies. But the job she and the other writers perform for customers is to write stories that will meet their sexual fantasies.

Requests for stories include everything from diapers to Marie Osmond, but Vivant said she is uncomfortable disclosing too many details because people trust her to handle their fantasies with respect. More than 15,000 visitors per month use the service, she said.

"I would never want any client to feel their fantasy is sick or twisted, because that defeats the whole purpose of what I do, which is to provide a safe place for people to turn their fantasies into some semblance of reality," she said.

She draws the line on requests for stories in which anybody is hurt without permission, or where children or bestiality is involved.
